Testimonials

Thank you for providing this [Hands-On Habitat] fun and educational activity to our Tehama County youth!

- US Fish & Wildlife, Biologist

My grandkids enjoyed building a bee barn and habitat model during the Hands-On Habitat workshop. It was a great creative summer activity. Even I learned a few new things too about pollinators! We hope that you will have more of these during the summer.

– Busy grandmother of 5

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival-Red Bluff is a great local event that features a variety of films related to our area. Thanks for bringing this national showing to our small town!

– 2017 Event Attendee

We appreciate the time and effort that the TCF and its partners dedicated in developing a Carbon Farm Plan for our family ranch. The collaborative effort outlines a path forward to improved natural resource, wildlife, and cattle management on our working land for the benefit of the community as well as our [ranching] operation.

Dear Emmy, thank you for giving me the opportunity of the Wildfire Defensible Space Assistance Program. The work Ken and Nat did for me puts my mind at ease going in to our fire season. I’m very appreciative of the program and the work all three of you did to make it happen. I hope this program will continue through the years for those that can use the assistance.

I had surgery so I could not help or be outside- they called to let me know what they were doing and kept me informed on what was going on. They did such a beautiful job. I was so surprised at what they did for me when I could not anything. God bless all-in office and working in the heat. They were so willing to help and made me feel so special. God bless you ALL that helped the handicapped and elderly. You are paying forward as I have always tried to do for people in my lifetime. Now that I can’t do so much so I do what I can for our Fire Department as a dispatcher. I’m too old and can’t do as I used to. 77 years young, I try. Thank you Emmy for taking time to talk to me. I felt so blessed you spend time with an old lady and made me feel so special. God bless and don’t change.

Thank you Brin for researching and securing the grant to provide assistance to qualified residents of Tehama county to ensure that they have defensible space on their properties. Thank you to Emmy for processing our application and securing such a wonderful work team. Thank you to Ken and Nate for completing the great job on our property. They were punctual and professional. Both Ken and Nate were courteous and treated our property as their own rather than just another job site. Please know that we have spread the word about your program and have been happy to recommend you to our friends. Thank you again for a job well done!

– Dwight and Elaine Russell

Dear Brin, Ken, and Crew, thank you so much for all you did to help us get our property cleared! You Brin were so helpful to me to get the application completed. And you Ken and your crew did a fabulous job the day you were up here clearing, chipping, and cleaning up! A million thanks to all of you—we so appreciate your help! It looks great around here!

Dear Mr. Ken Polit, I want to thank you and Tehama County Resource Conservation District. I appreciate all of the trimming and work you and your technicians did for me. Having leukemia cancer has taken its toll on me and my energy. May god bless you and your family always. Be safe.

First I would like to start off by saying a very big thank you to Mr.Ken for the work that he did, and for being kind enough to help us out, the job that was done in 3 days would have taken my daughters and I about 2-3 years to complete because of my disabilities.

The work that the team did makes us feel safer. After the fire of 2020 happens around us we know that we would not have time to get our animals and us out safely. Now without all of the dead tree’s there scaring us it makes us feel so much better knowing how much safer we are. Last year during summer time the fires were within 4 miles of the ranch and it was raining ash all over.  My two older son’s and my youngest daughter were out here with me when all the fire’s started. They were scared because they didn’t think they would make it out safe with all the animals or even just them.

this summer we will not have to worry as much because you guys have helped us out so much and we are so thankful for all of your help. The team removed dead trees and underbrush it is amazing.
